The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 pm.

Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt, Max Radil, and Pete Fernholz;

Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.

A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the agenda, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.

A Motion was made by Pete Fernholz to approve the claims and disbursements #5869-5883 and PERA0822 in the amount of $17,606.37, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.   

A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the July 2022 minutes, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.

TREASURERS REPORT: LMT has a balance of $934,920.80 There is one outstanding check. A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.        

ITEMS FROM THE FLOOR:  None

ROAD DISCUSSION: The dead-end sign needs to be replaced on Sunfish Dr.

OLD BUSINESS:  

Ross Larson- Vacate Road- A discussion was had, and tabled until we hear from the resident. Max Radil talked about what was learned about road vacating at the District 9 meeting.

Mork- Ditch- Oriole-

James Schmidt had a conversation with Dave Rush, and there is a 30-foot easement on this property on the West side. Dave Rush felt that LMT should be responsible for the placement of the new culvert and ditch. A discussion was had. James Schmidt rescinded his motion made at the July meeting due to the fact, that after speaking with Dave Rush at Land & Resources there is a 30 ft. easement off of the West property line for drainage. A new motion was made by James Schmidt that LMT pay to place the new ditch within the easement and place a new culvert under the road. LMT will need to apply for a permit to run the ditch up to the lake, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.

Culvert County Line Rd.: The culvert on County Line Rd. has been replaced. Sue Hanson will compile an invoice to send to Reno Township for half of the replacement costs once all bills for the project have been received.

Annexation-Roth/Wolfe: Bob Wolfe was present regarding LMT allowing the annexation of the Roth property over to the City of Alexandria, and if the Town Board was willing to sign the annexation agreement to move the process along. A discussion was had. A motion was made by Pete Fernholz that LMT sign the annexation agreement to allow the Roth property to be annexed into the City of Alexandria, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.

  NEW BUSINESS

Audit review: Brian Koehn, Auditor, was present to go over the 2021-year end report and findings. A discussion was had.  

Erickson Plat-Woodsman: Max attended the viewing, and it is sounding like the property owner will now be selling the property without platting it out.

2023 Township Aid notice: LMT will be receiving Township aid in 2023 of $2,794.00.

Primary Election: The State Primary election and District 206 School Board Primary election were held on August 9, 2022. LMT had a total of 166 voters.

District 9 Meeting: Max Radil and Sue Hanson attended the District 9 meeting. Highlights of the meeting were discussed.

MAT Annual Conference-St Cloud- Oct. 14-15, 2022: The MAT Annual Conference will be held in St Cloud- on Oct. 14-15, 2022.

Land Use Permits: LUP’s were reviewed.

Calendar: The August and September calendar was reviewed.

ADJOURN- A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 8:04 PM to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
