Reorganizational Meeting 2022

The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 6:00 PM.
Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt, Pete Fernholz, and Max Radil;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A motion was made by Pete Fernholz to appoint James Schmidt as Chairman, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
A motion was made by Max Radil to appoint Pete Fernholz as Vice-Chairman, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the agenda, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
Wages
- Officer Pay:
o Supervisors: Currently $20 /hour plus Per Diem. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep the Supervisor's wage at $20/hour plus Per Diem, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion Carried 3-0.
o Treasurer: Current salary is $383.00/month plus Per Diem. A motion was made by James Schmidt to raise the Treasurer’s salary by 3% to $395.00, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
o Deputy Treasurer: Currently $20/ hour. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep the Deputy Treasurer's wage at $20.00/hour, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
o Clerk: Current salary $420/month plus Per Diem. A motion was made by James Schmidt to raise the Clerk’s salary by 3% to $433.00. In addition, the clerk will get paid a $20.00 hourly wage above monthly salary when serving as an election judge, performing extra election duties, or duties that are beyond the normal clerk duties, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
o Deputy Clerk: Currently $20/ hour. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep the Deputy Clerk's wage at $20.00/hour, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
o Per Diem: Per Diem is currently $80.00 per meeting. A discussion was had. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep the Per Diem at $80.00 for any meeting attended by Supervisors, Clerk, or Treasurer lasting up to 4 hours, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
o Election judges: Currently $16/hour, Head Judge $18/hour. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep election judge wages the same, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
o Mileage: Currently $.58.5 /per mile. Federal rate.
- Official Newspaper: Currently Forum Communications (Echo Press). A motion was made by James Schmidt to continue with Forum Communications (Echo Press) as LMT’s official newspaper, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
- Official Bank: Currently Bell Bank. A motion was made by James Schmidt to continue with Bell Bank as LMT’s official bank, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
- Gopher Bounty: Currently $4/pocket and $0.50/striped. A motion was made by James Schmidt to keep the LMT pocket gopher bounty at $4 and keep the striped gopher bounty at $0.50, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
- Office Supplies: A discussion was had. No motions were made.
- Maintenance projects: A discussion was had. No Motions were made.
- Contractor insurance- LMT has current liability insurance forms on file for all active contractors.
- Annual Resolutions:
AAEDC:
o A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the AAEDC 04-22 resolution, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
Supervisor Resolution Authorizing Contract:
o A motion was made by Pete Fernholz to approve resolution 04-22A, 2nd by Max Radil. James Schmidt withstood from voting. Motion carried 2-0.
o A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve resolution 04-22B, 2nd by Max Radil. Pete Fernholz withstood from voting. Motion carried 2-0.
o A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve resolution 04-22C, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Max Radil withstood from voting. Motion carried 2-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 6:35 PM to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
