The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:30 pm.
Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt, Donna Hoeper, and Pete Fernholz;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the agenda, with beaver bounty added under new business, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the bills in the amount of $39,522.43, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by Donna Hoeper to approve the October 2019 minutes with punctuation corrections, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: LMT has a balance of $803,777.61. There is one outstanding check.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.

ROAD DISCUSSION:
2019 Paving project: Residents from Lake Andrew road were present to voice their concern about the blacktop not meeting their driveways properly. Jeff Stabnow was present and gave an update on the paving project. The 1st lift of blacktop has been applied to all of the blacktopping project roads, and the 2nd lift has been applied to Turtle Court, Turtle Trail, and Cross County Ln. Jeff Stabnow explained to the Lake Andrew residents, the 2nd lift will be tied into the driveways. Jeff Stabnow also explained that there will be one foot wide, Class I aggregate material placed and packed on the shoulders of the blacktop after the 2nd lift is applied. There is an area on Pospisil Drive and several areas on Trousil Drive that showed additional soft spots after the 1st lift of blacktop was placed. These areas will need to be repaired before the 2nd lift is applied. The cost of repairing the gator area on Hummingbird Ln by Mark Lee excavating was $50.00 per ton. The supervisors discussed the road-paving contract in detail.
Swing away mailboxes: Jeff Stabnow provided information on numbers and cost of swing-away mailboxes on the blacktop roads. A discussion was had. Swing away mailboxes will be added to the agenda for the Annual Meeting to discuss levying for swing away mailboxes throughout the entire township.
Gravel /Teal Trail: A resident complained about gravel being soft and dirt showing through on Teal Trail between Hoeper’s and Zeithamer’s. A discussion was had. Jeff Runge will check on the area and place a load of gravel if needed.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culvert Resolution: Tabled until after the paving project.
Serenity Cove/Trees: Certified letter to Forst’s was returned as undeliverable. James Schmidt called and spoke with Cindy Forst on Sept 23, 2019. James informed Cindy they had two weeks to remove the trees or LMT will remove them. LMT will Email the Forst’s the 2019 Minnesota Statutes 106.22 Subd.11, regarding trees in the road right of way. LMT gave authorization to Jeff Runge to remove the tress within the week, if not gone.
NEW BUSINESS
ALASD 2020 sewer allocation: The 2020 ALASD allocation for Lake Mary Township is $55,790.00
District 206 election/ judges/ rent: The District 206 Levy standalone election designated Lake Mary Town Hall as a polling place for Lake Mary, Holmes City, and Reno Townships. District 206 will take are of appointing and paying election judges. A motion was made by James Schmidt to charge District 206 $200.00 for the use of Lake Mary Town Hall as a polling place on November 5, 2019, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0
Klinkhammer road easement: A hearing on the Preliminary Plat of Klinkhammer Acres was held today at 6:45 PM for the approval of a road easement on County Road 88 SW.
REA fixed charge increase: Runestone Electric Association will be increasing the fixed charge for from $14.00 to $29.00, the increase will happen in increments over the next two years.
Certificate of insurance- Cenex Harvest States: Letter was received from CHS asking if they need to continue sending a Certificate of Insurance to LMT. CHS supplies LMT with propane; so LMT will still need to receive a Certificate of Insurance
Mn Pollution control/water quality standards: LMT Board reviewed the standards.
Calendar: Reviewed and discussed.

Permits-September: One sewer permit was issued in September
Beaver Bounty: Cross Country Lane has a beaver issue. Lake Mary Township will offer a bounty for trapping problem beaver. A motion was made by James Schmidt for Lake Mary Township to offer a $60.00 bounty per problem beaver trapped in the township. The claimant must present beaver tail to clerk for payment, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
MAILBAG- Mailbag was reviewed and discussed.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 8:43 P.M. to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
