The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 PM.
Members present Supervisors: James Schmidt, Max Radil, and Pete Fernholz;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the agenda with 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the claims and disbursements #6142-1653 and PERA1123 in the amount of $11,261.86, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the October 2023 minutes, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.

ROAD DISCUSSION:
Gravel bill 2023: The 2023 gravel bill has not been received yet. James Schmidt will check into it.
OLD BUSINESS:
Solar Farm: An informational meeting is being held tonight at the Douglas County PAC/BOA for the Fern-Roth 40-megawatt Solar Farm.
LRIP: James Schmidt has been checking into the Local Road Improvement Project grants. LMT has the opportunity to sign up, but it needs to go through Douglas County. If LMT is eligible for the grant, LMT would be responsible for the cost of the engineering plans. A discussion was had. A motion was made by James Schmidt to move forward with the grant application for Frontage Rd. and approve Resolution 11-23 Approving the Application for Local Road Improvement Funding for Frontage Rd.,2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
Auditor update: The engagement letter for Carlson SV has been signed.
NEW BUSINESS:
Big Stone South to Alexandria (BSSA) Powerline: Todd Langston from Ottertail Power was present to speak to the Board regarding the proposed BSSA powerline running through the township.
ALASD- Sewer- Maple Lake/Board member term: Hudson Township is looking at expanding their city sewer around Maple Lake, this may affect some LMT residents living at Nemec Estates. A discussion was had. James Schmidt will be attending the ALASD meeting on December 5th to learn more about the proposed project. Gaylen Lerohl's term on the ALASD board will expire on December 31st, 2023, James Schmidt will check with Gaylen to see if he would like to represent LMT for another term.
REA-emailed billing: REA is giving patrons the option to switch to online billing instead of mail. A discussion was had. LMT will move to online billing.
PNP Election: The Presidential Primary Election will be held on March 5th, 2024.
March elections-1-Clerk-2 year, 1- Supervisor-3 years: Sue Hanson’s Clerk position and Pete Fernholz’s Supervisor position will both be up for election in March of 2024.
2024 Newsletter: A discussion was had to start working on the 2024 Newsletter for LMT.
Land Use Permits: LUPs were reviewed.
MAT- Annual Meeting Dec.7th -9th, 2023: The MAT annual meeting will be held December 7th-9th in St Cloud.
Calendar: The November and December calendars were reviewed.

A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 7:49 PM to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
