The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 PM.

Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt and Pete Fernholz;

Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik. Max Radil was not present.

A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the agenda with 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 2-0.

A motion was made by Pete Fernholz to approve the claims and disbursements #6361-6385 and PERA1224 in the amount of, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 2-0.   

A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the November 2024 minutes, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 2-0.

TREASURERS REPORT: LMT has a balance of $1,222,065.84. There are no outstanding checks. A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 2-0.        

ITEMS FROM THE FLOOR: None

ROAD DISCUSSION:

Cottonwood: A new home is being built on the end of Cottonwood Dr. A discussion was had about where the township road ends. LMT will plow up to the turn around by Muzik’s field.

OLD BUSINESS:  

Newsletter: Tabled until the January meeting

The filing period for March elections Dec.31, 2024-Jan.14,2025 @ 5 PM: The filing period for the March elections runs from Dec.31, 2024-Jan.14,2025 @ 5 PM. The LMT office will be open from 1-5 PM on January 14th to accept filings for office.

BSSA-Powerline- Excel Energy: An informational packet was received from Excel Energy regarding an Excel tower being placed for accessing power from the BSSA substation.

  NEW BUSINESS:

Noxious Weed Report: Pete Fernholz completed the Noxious Weed Report for 2024.

Clerk Meeting County Auditor- Election changes: Sue Hanson will be attending a meeting at the Auditor's office on December 11th regarding changes for the March 2025 election.

Forada Fire Dept. Christmas Party, January 17th, 2025: The Forada Fire Department Christmas party will be held at Broadway Ballroom on Friday, January 17th starting at 5:30 PM.

Calendar: The December and January calendar was reviewed.

Next Meeting January 14, 2025 @ 7:00 PM

Land Use Permits: LUP’s were reviewed.

MAILBAG- The mailbag was reviewed and discussed.

A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 7:18 PM to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 2-0.
