Meeting was called to order by James Schmidt with the pledge to the flag at 9:00 AM.
Present were Matt Tikkanen, Jake Barvels, and Supervisors, James Schmidt, Donna Hoeper, and Pete Fernholz, and Clerk, Sue Hanson.
There were 13 improved sales in Lake Mary Township.
There was a Countywide building schedule increase of 3%.
There was no change in value to tillable acreage. Non-tillable, woods, pasture, and meadow increased by $200 per acre in value. Land in CPR increased by $500 per acre in value. There was no change in value to lakeshore property in Lake Mary Township
There were no appointments scheduled by Lake Mary Township residents to discuss tax evaluations.
Matt Tikkanen and Jake Barvels stated Douglas County had a recommendation on a property value change within Lake Mary Township. A 28-acre parcel in Lake Mary Township on Lake Andrew which borders Alexandria Township has an assessed value that is much higher than the selling price. Douglas County has made a recommendation of reducing the value from $674,100.00 to $476,700.00. The parcel will also be split into 2 separate parcels, one being a 5-acre building site. A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the reduction in value on the parcel based on the recommendation of the County, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0
