The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 PM.
Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt, Max Radil, and Pete Fernholz;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the November agenda, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the claims and disbursements #6345- 6360, and PERA1124 for $13,859.83, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the October 2024 minutes, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: There are no outstanding checks. A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
ITEMS FROM THE FLOOR: None
ROAD DISCUSSION:
Gravel bill 2024: The 2024 gravel bill has not yet been received.
Sunny Hollow: A concern was voiced by a resident regarding the maintenance of Sunny Hollow. A discussion was had. LMT will start maintaining the road again. More discussion will be had at the 2025 Road Review.
Gravel Road Survey- MAT: MAT sent out an optional survey regarding gravel roads. LMT is not participating in the study at this time.
OLD BUSINESS:
Big Stone South to Alexandria (BSSA) Powerline: LMT received a certified letter with a jump drive containing information on the application to the state and the environmental impact report.
2024 General Election: LMT had 650 in-person voters, 42 new registered voters, and 212 early voters. Douglas County had a 90.33% voter turnout and was the 1st county in Minnesota to have all their election reporting turned in.
NEW BUSINESS:
Ceiling tiles: Some of the ceiling tiles in the hall are getting stained. A discussion was had. Pete Fernholz will check into pricing for some new tiles.
Handicap entrance: The concrete slabs in front of the handicap doors have settled, making a drop to the door threshold, making it hard for wheelchair and electric scooter access. A discussion was had, and LMT will look at getting a replacement price this Spring.
MN Pollution Control-Pope Douglas Solid Waste: A public notice of intent to issue Permit SW-642 to Pope Douglas Solid Waste was received and reviewed.
Workers Comp Insurance: The 2025 policy was reviewed.
March elections-1-Treasurer-2 years, 1- Supervisor-3 years: This year's March election will be held for the Treasure position held by Christy Trvdik and a Supervisor position held by Max Radil.
2025 Newsletter: The 2025 newsletter will be reviewed at the December Meeting.
Land Use Permits: LUPs were reviewed.
MAT- Annual Meeting Dec.13th -14th, 2024: The MAT Annual meeting will be held at the St Cloud Rivers Edge Convention Center December 13th -14th.
Next Meeting: LMT's next meeting will be held on December 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM.
MAILBAG- The mailbag was reviewed and discussed.
