LAKE MARY TOWNSHIP ANNUAL MEETING                          

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

The annual meeting for the Lake Mary Township was called to order at 8:15pm by the clerk with the pledge to the flag.

Judy Radil made a motion to elect James Schmidt moderator for the meeting, 2^nd by Julie Freier. Yeas-all

Motion made by Dean Radil, 2^nd by Nichole Boyden to approve $18,088.00 for the Alexandria Fire Department. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Stephen VanLuik from Forada Fire was present to discuss the needs of the fore department. They are asking for $16,696.00. Dean made a motion to approve, 2^nd by Judy Radil. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Jean Tvrdik was here on behalf of Forada First Responders. Lorraine Chan made a motion for $1400, 2^nd by Tammy Schmidt. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Shawn Stoen and Jackie Lanoue were here to represent Holmes City First responders. Requesting same amount of $1500.00. Judy Radil made a motion, 2^nd by Lorraine Chan. Yeas-all, motion carried. Shawn also here to represent Lowry First Responders, asking for support. Dean made a motion for $600, 2^nd by Nichole Boyden. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Lakes Area Recreation sent a request for $3258. Dean made a motion, 2^nd by Gary Bahn. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Maple Lake swimming lessons is requesting $500 for the 2016 year. Mark Grandgenett, 2^nd by Judy Radil. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Mark Grandgenett from AAEDC was present to discuss their progress. He is requesting $4550.00 for the 2016 year. Motion made by Dean Radil, 2^nd by Tammy Schmidt. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Lorraine Chan is requesting support for the Forada Senior Center. Motion made by Gary Bahn for $250, 2^nd Julie Freier. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Alexandria Senior Center is requesting support for their program. We gave $250 last year. A motion was made by Nichole Boyden, 2^nd by Lorraine Chan. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Forada Days sent a letter requesting a $750 donation. Motion was made by Nichole Boyden for $250, 2^nd by Judy Radil. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Road discussion took place, covering chloride, gravel, dust control, grading, ditch and sign maintenance.

Nichole Boyden presented to 2015/2016 payable levy at $268,151.00. Motion by Dean Radil, 2^nd by Julie Freier. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Motion made by Judy Radil to adjourn meeting at 9:44pm, 2^nd by Tammy Schmidt. Yeas-all, motion carried.

Annual Township Meeting Minutes-March 13, 2018

Meeting called to order at 8:15p.m. by Nichole Boyden, Clerk with the pledge to the flag.

Motion by Sam Radil to elect James Schmidt moderator, 2nd by Max Radil. motion carried.

Minutes were reviewed. Motion by Donna Hoeper to approve the 2017 minutes, 2nd by Tammy Schmidt. motion carried.

Fire Protection Contracts: Alexandria Fire Dept. $19,526.00 Motion by Dean to approve, 2nd by Max Radil. motion carried. Forada Fire is requesting $15,324 for 2019. Motion by Dean to approve 2nd by Nichole. motion carried. Lowry Fire is approved for $3990 for 2019 this was approved in 2017 base on a two year contract.

First Responder requests: Ellie Radil from Forada is requesting $1500. Motion by Donna to approve, 2nd by Tammy Schmidt. Motion carried. Holmes City sent a letter requesting funding. Motion by Dan Mettler to approve $1400, 2nd by Sam Radil. Motion Carried. Greg Tollifson from Lowry First Responders is requesting $600. Motion by Max Radil to approve, 2nd by Dan Mettler. Motion Carried

Lakes Area Recreation is requesting $3330, with representation from Alan Zeithammer. Motion by Terry Anderson to approve, 2nd by Julie Frier. Motion carried.

Lorrine Mettler was present for Maple Lake swimming lessons they are requesting $500 for 2019.Motion by Nichole Boyden to approve 2nd by Donna. Motion carried.

AAEDC is requesting 4,200 for 2019 funding. Motion by Pete Fernholz to approve, 2nd by Terry Anderson. Motion carried

Sara Eblen from Forada Days is requesting a donation. Tery Anderson made a motion to donate $500 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried.

Alexandria Senior Center sent a letter requesting a $500 donation. Motion by Dean to give $250 2nd by Tammy Schmidt. Motion carried.

Roads were discussed: Rockwood lane sharp corner on first turn will be looked at during road review.

Items from the floor: Lake Sustainability Fund was talked about Alan Zeithammer  and Lake association members were here to discuss possible funding of lake improvement projects. Project will be discussed further at upcoming regular monthly meetings. Request was made to start a Free Little Library at the town hall. Discussed and will be put on the agenda for the monthly April meeting.

James Schmidt presented the amount of $226,020for the 2019 budget. Motion by Dean to approve, 2nd by Donna. Motion Carried

Motion by Sam Radil to adjourn the meeting at 10:00, 2nd by Tammy Schmidt. Motion carried.
