The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:30 pm.
Members present: Supervisors: James Schmidt, Donna Hoeper, and Pete Fernholz;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the agenda, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the bills in the amount of $9,261.26, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by Pete Fernholz to approve the February 2020 minutes with punctuation corrections, 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: LMT has a balance of $133,176.44. There is one outstanding check to Mark Lee. The line of credit is being worked on by Bremer Bank.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.

ROAD DISCUSSION:
Schedule 2020 road review: A discussion was had. Road review scheduled April 29th at 4:00 p.m. This time is subject to change depending on the COVID-19 quarantine.
OLD BUSINESS:
Policy/ Ordinances & Resolutions: James Schmidt presented a rough draft for the LMT road policy. The Board reviewed a majority of the policy, and revisions were made. The Board will review the rest of the policy on their own and discuss it at the April meeting.
H & M Storage: There will be a variance meeting for the H & M storage facility on March 24th. LMT has no concerns with the facility being built.
NEW BUSINESS:
Donations/ funding payments-2020: A discussion was had on when LMT will pay out the approved funding for 2020. The approved funding under the amount of $1,000.00 will be paid in April 2020. The fire departments will be paid in July 2020 if receiving one payment, and July and December 2020 if receiving two payments. First responders will be paid in July 2020. AAEDC will be paid in July and December 2020. Community Education will be paid in July 2020.
Cottage Grove set-up renewal: A set-up license renewal request was received for Cottage Grove resort. A motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the request for the Cottage Grove Resort set-up license, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried.
Gardonville fiber optic installs/construction: Gardonville has notified LMT that they will be installing fiber optics in the North Lake Andrew area. James Schmidt spoke with Josh Pikkaranie regarding the Cross County Ln. area ditches that were just repaired.
Runestone Telecom gopher bounty: Runestone Telecom will add an additional $4.00 to the LMT pocket gopher bounty for Runestone Telecom patrons. LMT will pay the additional bounty and will then be reimbursed by Runestone Telecom. Proof of being a Runestone Telecom patron will need to be presented along with the gopher feet in order to receive the extra bounty.
Summary of 2020 assessment payable 2021: A summary of the 2020 assessments payable was received from the Assessor’s office. The LMT board reviewed.
Cancelation of DCAT/ MAT Spring Short Courses: The DCAT and MAT spring short courses have been canceled due to the COVID-19 quarantine.
MAT officer list: The MAT officer list was reviewed and updated.
August 11, 2020 meeting conflict: The State Primary election is scheduled on August 11, 2020. The LMT monthly meeting will, therefore, need to be changed. Board members will check schedules and changing the date of the meeting will be discussed at the April meeting.
November elections: The Auditors office sent out information to townships on changing Annual elections to November. A discussion was had. LMT will continue to hold the Annual elections in March.
Payroll taxes: Sue Hanson reminded Board members that Federal and State taxes are not withheld from payroll.
Reorganization meeting/ April meeting: A motion was made by Donna Hoeper to hold the LMT Reorganization Meeting on April 14th at 6:30 p.m. followed by the regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m., 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.
Board of Appeal Meeting April 13, 2020, @ 9 a.m.: TheBoard of Appeal Meeting is still on schedule for April 13th at 9:00 a.m. at the town hall.
Hall rental: Due to COVID-19 quarantine, rental of the town hall will be ceased until further notice.
Land Use Permits: Land use permits were reviewed by the Board.
Calendar: March and April calendars were reviewed and discussed.
MAILBAG- Mailbag was reviewed and discussed.
A Motion was made by Donna Hoeper at 10:11 p.m. to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.
