Lake Mary Township Meeting Minutes - November 14, 20017

Meeting was called to order by James with the pledge to the flag at 7:30pm.

Motion by James, 2^nd by Donna to approve agenda. Motion carried 3-0

Motion by James, 2^nd by Donna to approve bills for the amount of $5,128.39 . Motion carried 3-0

Donna made a motion to approve the October minutes with changes, 2^nd by James. Motion carried 3-0

James made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report, 2^nd by Donna. Motion carried 3-0

Road discussion with Runge Grading.

The discussion on the cattle underpass was continued. There are reflectors and posts on the underpass on Hiebel Rd. There are no reflectors or posts on Woodsman Lane. James made a motion to add two posts and reflectors on Woodsman Lane and they will be reinspected at the annual road review. 2^nd by Donna. Motion carried 3-0.

E Lake Mary update: nothing to report yet, waiting for contractors.

Total mileage for the township roads are up to date and current. James will find out what our total mileage is and report back at the December meeting.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the January meeting will be moved to January 10^th, 2018 at 7:30pm.

The township received a letter to update and determine if there were any changes to the township land and roads.  Changes were made and will be mailed back to MNDOT.

Since we changed our bond with Bremer, the interest has doubled. Julie had a discussion with our accountant Ed on transferring funds into a money market with Edward Jones, so the township can accrue more interest on the existing funds. Julie also spoke with Mr. Troy Gilchrist, a referral from MAT to discuss. There was discussion on whether to rescind the old resolution to use the money for sewer annual usage fees. The board decided to not take action on moving the sewer funds, so the funds will remain in place for future sewer improvements and costs.

Mailbag was looked at and discussed.
