Lake Mary Township Monthly Meeting
March 11, 2019

UNAPPROVED

BLACKTOP BIDS: Blacktop bids were open by Clerk, Sue Hanson at 7:00, a total of 4 bids were received from Central Specialties, Mark Lee Asphalt, Riley Brothers and Duininck Brothers.

Meeting was called to order by James Schmidt with the pledge to the flag at 7:08 pm.

Members Present: James Schmidt, Donna Hoeper, Pete Fernholz, Supervisors.

Sue Hanson, Clerk. Christy Tvrdik, Treasurer.

Motion by James Schmidt to approve agenda with blacktop bids added to new business, 2nd by Donna Hoeper.  Motion carried 3-0

Motion by James Schmidt to approve the bills in the amount of $25,437.35, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0   

Motion to approve minutes of February 12, 2019 meeting with correction of verbiage by Donna Hoeper 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried  

TREASURERS REPORT: Balance as of $903,819.27. One outstanding check and one outstanding EFT. Motion by James Schmidt to approve the Treasurers report as presented. 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried and approved. 3-0.

ROAD DISCUSSION:

Jeff Runge Sr. present, Snow plowing complaints discussed.

OLD BUSINESS:

Culvert Resolution: On hold until April meeting.

Calendar: Reviewed and discussed.

2019 Tax Assessment Summary (payable 2020): Reviewed letter from County. Discussion had.

Engineering Fee: Jeff, Stabnow presented his fee for the blacktop project. Discussion was had. Motion made by James Schmidt to pay Jeff Stabnow 30% of fee in April 2019, then one half (35%)of remaining balance at the end of 2019 and remaining balance(35%) in the beginning of 2020. 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS:

Budget requests: New incoming budget requests were reviewed. Discussion had.

Annual Budget: Annual budget items were discussed and finalized for Annual Meeting.

Road maintenance quotes: Discussion had. Sue Hanson will put notice in Echo Press asking for quotes for class V gravel, summer and winter maintenance.

Blacktop bids: Jeff Stabnow reported results of blacktop bids after he reviewed. Mark Lee Asphalt had the lowest bid of $803,091.00 for all roads. Discussion was had. Motion made by James Schmidt to accept Mark Lee’s Asphalt 2019 paving  project bid minus Hummingbird Way for a total of $723,700.00. 2nd by Donna Hoeper. Motion carried 3-0.

MAIL BAG: Reviewed and discussed

Motion by James Schmidt at 8:50 p.m. to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz.    Motion carried 3-0.
