The Lake Mary Township monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman, James Schmidt, with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 pm.
Members present Supervisors: James Schmidt, Max Radil, and Pete Fernholz;
Clerk, Sue Hanson, and Treasurer, Christy Tvrdik.
A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the agenda with 2nd by James Schmidt. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the claims and disbursements #6075-6091, 941-2023-2, and PERA0723 in the amount of $88,479.32, 2nd by Max Radil. Motion carried 3-0.
A Motion was made by Max Radil to approve the June 2023 minutes, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
TREASURERS REPORT: LMT has a balance of $1,025,955.89 There are no outstanding checks. The June tax settlement was deposited. A Motion was made by James Schmidt to approve the Treasures report as read, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
ITEMS FROM THE FLOOR: None
ROAD DISCUSSION:
Yield sign Cross Country/Wildlife: A request was made by a resident voicing concern about the increased traffic on Waterfowl Dr & Cross Country Ln, requesting a need for a yield sign. A discussion was had. The roundabouts are now complete so traffic should go back to a minimum in this area. No action will be taken at this time.
Chloride: Chloride placement is complete. 16,499 gallons were placed. LMT did not place chloride on Sunny Hollow per the request of the residents living on that road, and Douglas County placed chloride on Cross Country this year, due to the construction of the roundabouts resulting in increased traffic.
Frontage Rd.: Nothing to report at this time.
Cross Country-repair after roundabouts open: A discussion was had. Cross County Ln is in need of repair and rebuild as a result of the increased traffic from the roundabout construction. James Schmidt will check with the Alexandria City Administrator, as the City of Alexandria will be responsible for a portion of the cost before proceeding with any work.
OLD BUSINESS:
Little May Circle Approach Permit: Max Radil inspected and signed off on the approach as it was redone to meet LMT specifications.
Oriole Ditch: The culvert project is complete. Extra erosion control was needed.
Hearing on the Preliminary Plat of Gracies First Addition on Part of Lot 1,
Block 1m Gracies Addition. Section 17 (Lake Mary Township): Max Radil will attend the viewing for this.
NEW BUSINESS
Approach permits-Mork/ Guenther: Approach permit applications were received for Mork (Oriole LN) and Guenther (Serenity Dr.)
Conditional use permit hearing #30-0040-650 For aggregate operation: Max Radil attended the viewing. LMT has no issues with this.
MAT Appraisal: The MAT insurance appraisal was received and reviewed. The valuation numbers of the LM Townhall seemed high, resulting in a significant increase in the premium. James Schmidt will contact MAT and review the appraisal.
Runestone Telecom Annual Meeting/Ballot: A discussion was had. The ballot was filled out.
Land use/sewer permits: None received
Calendar: The July and August calendars were reviewed.
LMT next meeting is Tuesday, August 8, 2023, @ 7:00 PM
MAIL BAG- Mail bag was reviewed and discussed.
A Motion was made by James Schmidt at 7:36 PM to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Pete Fernholz. Motion carried 3-0.
